  • What is a "REC", or an "SREC"?

    "REC" stands for "Renewable Energy Credits". Similarly, an "SREC" is a "Solar Renewable Energy Credit". Certain renewable energy projects can qualify to produce RECs or SRECs, which can be traded in different clean energy marketplaces.

Cody Newton

Cody Newton is a lifelong entrepreneur with a relentless commitment to sustainability. His career has been dedicated to democratizing renewables, carbon credits and recycling. With a passion for green innovation, Cody founded multiple successful ventures aimed at bringing affordable renewable energy solutions to households and promoting recycling practices. His visionary leadership has led to significant advancements in eco-friendly technologies and affordable sustainability solutions

He continues to champion a greener future, where environmental responsibility meets affordability, making him a true pioneer in the field of renewable energy/recycling and carbon credits accessibility.

Chris Wake

Chris Wake proudly served in the U.S. Navy and is now an entrepreneur who has successfully launched dozens of businesses. His background is in the animal feed and food waste industries. He became familiar with carbon credits by eliminating waste in the food industry.

Chris has a BAS in Animal Science and a Six Sigma Black Belt.

Carrie Jablonski

Carrie Jablonski specializes in helping leaders and organizations--both public and private--scale to achieve their value creation potential. She is entrenched in private equity and partners with leaders across many of the world's most successful alternative asset managers.

She serves as Managing Director of Blake Street Group, where she heads the firm's Leadership Advisory Practice. She was previously a Partner at the law firm Bartlit Beck Herman Palenchar and Scott LLP, as well as a consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Carrie graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Law School.

Dr. Douglas Cleveland

Dr. Douglas Cleveland (Doug) is an entrepreneur and operationally minded executive with a track record of implementing processes and operational efficiencies, including in midwestern real estate and in hospital systems across the country, and more recently in helping launch CarbonXSolutions.

As a father of three young children, he has a vested interest in leaving the earth better than he found it, and believes it is important we all do our part in making solar energy affordable for homeowners and companies alike to reduce carbon emissions.

Dr. Cleveland has overseen the finances of several anesthesia practices and his outcomes are indicative of a “let’s get it done” consensus builder and operational change-agent.

Kent Leichliter

Kent Leichliter is an IT professional and technology enthusiast with a passion for innovation. He belivevs strongly in conservation and works to always leave something better than he found it. As a father of four, he wants future generations to experience the same amazing world he grew up with.

Kent is also a solar energy enthusiast. He has designed and built his own off-grid solar generation system, providing 100% of the power requirements for his entire property, including a house, a workshop, and support for livestock.

Kent has a BS in Computer Science and an MS in Management Information Systems.
